U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Casey A. Schultz, a mortarman assigned to Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, holds two 81mm high explosive (HE) mortars on a demolition range at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Nov. 9, 2015. Schultz helps prepare the mortars for a controlled detonation to rid these HE mortars that were deemed unserviceable by an ammo technician. 1/7 is the ground combat element of the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
