U.S. Marines with Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT), Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, open containers of 81mm high explosive (HE) mortars on a demolition range at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Nov. 9, 2015. The CAAT platoon helps prepare the mortars for a controlled detonation to rid these HE mortars that were deemed unserviceable by an ammo technician. The unit is the ground combat element of the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Crisis Response - Central Command, in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve.
