Marines with Company A, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, carry a Combat Rubber Raiding Craft into the water in order to conduct beach searches during an amphibious operations training exercise, as part of an Expeditionary Operations Training Group course at Camp Pendleton April 21, 2016. Recon Marines specialize in providing in-depth reconnaissance on a designated area. This exercise was conducted in preparation for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s deployment in the near future.
