Sergeant Major Moore enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2000 and reported to Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina where she was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class. Upon graduation, she reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, Jacksonville, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. She was then assigned to her Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) School, the basic School of Combat Engineering, Courthouse Bay, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as a combat engineer.
After completion, she proceeded to her first assignment at Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. Upon completion of her tour, in June 2001, Corporal Moore reported to 3rd Force Service Support Group, Camp Hansen Okinawa, Japan for duty. In January 2002, she was assigned to Camp Mu Juk Pohang, Korea where she served as the Fore-lot Chief and Marine Liaison for the ROK Marines.
In November 2004, Sergeant Moore was selected to attend the Combat Marksmanship Course and earned an additional MOS of 0933. In July 2005, Sergeant Moore did a lateral move into the 3044 MOS Contracting Specialist. After school completion, she was assigned to Headquarters and Service Battalion where she served as a contract specialist. In March 2006, she attended the Martial Arts Instructor Course where she earned the additional MOS of 0916.
In February 2007, she was selected to attend the Small Arms Weapons Instructor course, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where she earned the MOS of 0931. From there, she fill an Individual Augment billet in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 6-8, Camp Fallujah where she served as a Contracting Officer and a Corporals Leadership Course Instructor.
In January 2008, Sergeant Moore was selected to the rank of Staff Sergeant. In March 2008, Staff Sergeant Moore received orders to the Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corp Bases, Okinawa, Japan and during her tour, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology.
In January 2011, Staff Sergeant Moore reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, South Carolina, for Drill Instructor duty. In March 2012, Staff Sergeant Moore was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. In May 2013, she was selected to attend the Advance Course 4-13 where she was the recipient of the Gung Ho award.
In March 2014, GySgt Moore received orders to Headquarters and Service Battalion, MCRD PISC to serve as the Procurement Chief for the Contracting Office. In December 2014 GySgt Moore was selected to the rank of 1stSgt and transferred to Headquarters Company to serve as the Company Gunnery Sergeant. Gunnery Sergeant Moore was frocked to first sergeant in May 2015 and served as the Headquarters Company First Sergeant, Headquarters and Service Battalion.
In September 2015, 1stSgt Moore received orders to MARSOC and was assigned as the Company 1stSgt, Logistics Company, 3d Marine Raider Support Battalion (3D MRSB). In April 2017, she was transferred to Headquarters and Support Battalion, MCI-East where she assumed her position as the Company First Sergeant for Company A until her promotion to Sergeant Major in May 2019.
In May 2019, Sergeant Major Moore reported to 1st Intelligence Battalion, Camp Pendleton, to assume her duties as the Battalion Sergeant Major. On November 9, 2020, Sergeant Major Moore assumed her current position as Sergeant Major, I MEF Support Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California.
Sergeant Major Moore’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star in lieu of second award and the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal
