The Current Operations (COPS) Process is currently focused on coordinating and executing "Today's Battle" when deployed or coordinating and executing "Today's Events" in garrison. The IMEF COPS section is located in the MOC COC.

The Future Operations Process

The Future Operations Process (FOPS) is principally focused on setting the conditions for the "Next Battle" when deployed and for the "Next Teep Event" in garrison. The FOPS Process generates internal tempo through rapid integrated planning.

The Chief of FOPS is the "Process Owner."

The Mission Time Horizons FOPS are: 3 - 365 days in garrison, 5 - 10 days or next phase in combat.

The IMEF FOPS section is located in the MOC, next to the COC.
