HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Four civilians were killed by an improvised explosive device in Helmand province, June 30. The family members, two adults and two children, were riding on their motorcycle when they struck the IED.

Also today in Helmand Province, one civilian was killed and three were wounded by an improvised explosive device near Lashkar Gah, June 30. Afghan police determined the explosion was triggered by a pressure plate.
