Lyon was one of approximately 700 veterans living at Belmount Village locations around the country who volunteered to be photographed. After setting up several tents and cots for homeless veterans to have a safe place to spend the weekend, Marines and Sailors with I Marine Expeditionary Force interacted with homeless and volunteer veterans alike during the 2015 Orange County Veteran’s Day Stand Down, Oct. 23 to 25 in Tustin, Calif.
