Brig. Gen. Ottignon speaks to the U.S. Marines and Sailors of 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG) at Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 28, 2017. During Ottignon's tenure, the 1st MLG completed 14 Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluations to ensure deployment readiness. U.S. Marines with 1st Marine Logistics Group explain the benefits, values and rewards of completing an enlisted-to-officer program at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 31, 2017. These officers have risen to the challenge and continue to serve the Corps as commissioned officers. They have served in the enlisted ranks, earned their bachelor’s degrees and have completed Officer Candidates School.

Seaman Robert Thompson is the assistant equipment manager for 1st Medical Logistics Company, 1st Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group. Thompson talks about extra courses he taught and how they help other Sailors and Marines be more proficient at their jobs. Thompson won the Blue Jacket of the Year award and the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his hard work and dedication to duty.
