Marine Combat Training is a four week evolution at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Camp Geiger, N.C., where Marines with non-combat military occupational specialties are trained in basic infantry skills after graduating Recruit Training. Topics include rifle and medium machine gun marksmanship, physical conditioning and other basic infantry skills.

The Career Orientation and Training of Midshipmen take current college students and futures officers to Camp Pendleton to show them how the Marine Corps operates and also its capabilities. The main objective is to teach midshipmen what it takes to be an officers in the Navy or Marine Corps.

The Weapon and Tactics Instructor course (WTI) is a seven-week period of instruction, hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz, that incorporates Marine Corps planning and implementation of advanced air and ground tactics through a series of escalating evolutions in order to produce certified Weapons and Tactics Intructors. WTIs serve as squadron training officers who use their skills to act as aircraft and weapons subject matter experts to provide their units with proper training and evaluation to ensure exceptional combat readiness.
