Marines were recognized at an Arizona State University football game against the Southern Methodist University during Marine Week Phoenix, Sept.12, 2015. Philippine and U.S. air forces hosted an Airpower Day for area youth at Clark Air Base, April 25 April 22, during Exercise Balikatan 2015. The event featured static aircraft from the Philippine and U.S. air forces as well as aircraft from the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. The aircrew for each aircraft answered questions and interacted with the public. Service members, city and state officials and citizens of San Francisco gathered to honor veterans by presenting the San Francisco Veterans Memorial Oct. 10. The ceremony was held during San Francisco Fleet Week 2014. The memorial was a promise made by the city to its veterans over 82 years ago and has now become a reality.

Marines and Sailors from 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liason Company trained closely with members of the British Royal Army to share knowledge and further international relations at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 1-24. The training is an annual three-week exercise called Burmese Chase that focuses on small unit tactics, fire support assets and combined arms integration.
