U.S. Marines and Sailors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4 integrated with the French Army and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces for the French Army obstacle courses during Croix Du Sud in Plum, New Caledonia Nov. 12, 2016. Croix Du Sud is a multi-national, humanitarian assistance disaster relief and non-combatant evacuation operation exercise conducted every two years to prepare nations in the event of a cyclone in the South Pacific. U.S. Marines and Sailors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4 integrated with the Vanuatu Mobile Force to aid in renovating a school that was damaged in Port Vila, Vanuatu, Oct. 26, 2016. Marines teamed up with the Vanuatu Mobile Force to renovate the school after it was degraded by Cyclone Pam last year. The Koa Moana exercise seeks to enhance senior leader engagements between allied and partner nations in the Pacific with a collective interest in relations and to discuss key aspects of operations, capability development and interoperability in the South Pacific. Corpsmen with I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Groups trained how to deal with multiples casualties at the time during I Marine Expeditionary Force Large Scale Exercise 2016. The corpsmen play an important role in the fight. The unique and historic relationship between corpsmen and Marines is unique. Bradley Kasal explains the importance of the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society and encourages service members within I Marine Expeditionary Force to donate to the program. NMCRS is a nonprofit organization which provides financial assistance as well as budget planning and financial management classes to Marines and Sailors.
