U.S. Marines and Sailors with Task Force Koa Moana 16-4, intergrated with His Majesty’s Armed Forces to train in counter-improvised explosive device and entry and vehicle control point procedures in Taliai, Tonga Oct. 14, 2016. The Koa Moana exercise seeks to enhance senior military leader engagements between allied and partner nations in the Pacific with a collective interest in military-to-military relations and to discuss key aspects of military operations, capability development and interoperability in the South Pacifc.

Marines from 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, worked closely with infantrymen from 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines during a combat engineer and infantrymen cross-training drill aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 4, 2016. Marines with Company B, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, participated in Urban Mobile Breaching aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 7-8. The training focused on preparing the Marines to breach and clear rooms when attached to an infantry unit.
