Brig. Gen. Ottignon speaks to the U.S. Marines and Sailors of 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG) at Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 28, 2017. During Ottignon's tenure, the 1st MLG completed 14 Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluations to ensure deployment readiness. Additionally, 11 units deployed during this time; three with Marine Expeditionary Units, five with Special Purpose Marines Air-Ground Task Force, and three with Marines Rotational Forces-Darwin.

U.S. Marines with 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group conducted Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) readiness training aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 26, 2017. The Marines conducted the week long CBRN training to maintain readiness for possible future operations.

U.S. Marines with 1st Marine Logistics Group participated in a week-long Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Decontamination Course on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 14-17, 2017. The week-long course culminated with students locating, cordoning, and identifying a simulated contamination and going through, as well as manning a decontamination station.
