Maj. Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson talks about his new position as commanding general of 1st Marine Division. Major Gen. Ronald L. Bailey relinquished his command of 1st Marine Division to Maj. Gen. Nicholson during a change of command ceremony here, June 10, 2013. Maj. Gen. Nicholson, a native of Toronto, Canada, recently returned from a tour in Kabul, Afghanistan, serving as the operations officer for the International Security Assistance Force Joint Command. Maj. Gen.
