The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Aviation Combat Element conducted a live-fire pistol range in order to enhance their survival, evasion, resistance, and escape tactics and techniques during Realistic Urban Training, March 10, 2017. Expert marksmanship is a critical skill while on the move in a perilous situation. This training is designed to enhance their quick-reaction skills in the event they find themselves stranded in hostile territory and are identified by the enemy or unfriendly locals. Marines train to be decisive and to respond quickly with sound judgement, because the worst decision a Marine can make in the midst of a crisis is no decision at all.
