Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, I Marine Expeditionary Force, attend a Basic Machine Gunner's course at the Combat Skills Training school at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 18-29, 2016. The Marines with CLB-7 are from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms. This is a unique training opportunity for the Marines to interact with their 1st Marine Logistics Group counterparts. Marines with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, conduct a live-fire training exercise on Range 222 here, Sept. 4 and 5. The Alpha Co. Marines fired Mk-19 grenade launchers, .50 caliber machine guns, M249 squad automatic weapon and M240B medium machine guns Sept. 4 and 5 to crosstrain and refine their skills with each weapon system. Throughout the two days of shooting, the Marines were evaluated as they engaged multiple targets with each weapon system at ranges of 400 to 1,200 meters away.
