Service members had the opportunity to interact with the Los Angeles community in a series of community service projects and public demonstrations during Los Angeles Fleet Week 2016.

Members of the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard participated in a golf clinic with The First Tee Los Angeles to teach core values to young golfers as part of L.A. Fleet Week in Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 3, 2016.

Sea Service Members volunteered at an event for the United States Veterans Initiative, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless veterans, Sept. 2, 2016, in Long Beach, Calif. Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, visited the facility where hundreds of homeless veterans live and receive assistance and care.
