Lance Cpl. Aaron Ellison, an assistant instructor with the Regimental Combat Team 1 Embedded Training Team, gives a vehicle checkpoint class to novice Afghan National Army soldiers at Camp Dwyer, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Dec. 7. Although Marines still provide classroom instruction, ANA instructors from Camp Dwyer’s first ANA instructor course now lead the majority of the practical application exercises. The first wave of ANA instructors from Camp Dwyer graduated from the instructor course here last month.
