A midshipman with 1st Platoon, 2nd Block, Company F, exits the gas chamber during Professional Training for Midshipmen Marine Week aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., July 1, 2014. The PROTRAMID program allows midshipmen to rotate through four week-long evolutions with each different service community in the Navy during their sophomore summer at the Naval Academy. At the beginning of their senior year, they will rank their preferences of which community they'd like to join before being placed based on the needs of the Navy and the Marine Corps.
