The family and friends of Marines and sailors deploying with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit display a large flag on the shore as the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group passes by in San Diego Feb. 12, 2016. The 13th MEU is capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations and is beginning an estimated six month deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East.
