U.S. Sailors with the Shock Trauma Platoon, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command, rehearse their emergency medicine capabilities on a simulated casualty while forward deployed in the Middle East, April 23, 2017. The exercise demonstrated the STP’s ability to care for critically injured casualties in a limited resource environment enhancing the SPMAGTF’s ability to respond to any crisis that may occur in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The STP continues to become more adaptable by training with scalable options for personnel, equipment, and supplies to provide the SPMAGTF with a more agile and maneuverable role-2 medical capability.
