U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Tyler Alcid, a CH-53E Super Stallion pilot with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, celebrates with his daughter after returning home to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, April 9, 2025. HMH-465 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, MAG-16, completed a six-month deployment to the Indo-Pacific region, supporting the Unit Deployment Program and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, during which the squadrons conducted a range of operations to enhance combat readiness, deter aggression, and strengthen alliances and partnerships. Regular forward deployments like these ensure 3rd MAW squadrons remain ready to respond to crises and uphold security in the Indo-Pacific region. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Staff Sgt.
