On order, SPMAGTF-CR-CC conducts crisis response, contingency operations, theater security cooperation, enabling operations and all other missions as may be directed throughout the CENTCOM area of operations in order to support CDR USCENTCOM requirements.
TF 51/5 hosts athletic games with U.K. counterparts
NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Jan. 24, 2019) U.S. Marines and Sailors with Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, compete with British military service members during an athletic sporting event hosted to build camaraderie and teamwork between U.S. troops and British military counterparts. TF 51/5 is entrusted with rapidly aggregating crisis response capabilities and positioning Navy and Marine Corps forces throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility to ensure command and control of forces at sea, from the sea and ashore.
