On order, SPMAGTF-CR-CC conducts crisis response, contingency operations, theater security cooperation, enabling operations and all other missions as may be directed throughout the CENTCOM area of operations in order to support CDR USCENTCOM requirements.

NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (Jan. 24, 2019) U.S. Marines and Sailors with Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, compete with British military service members during an athletic sporting event hosted to build camaraderie and teamwork between U.S. troops and British military counterparts. TF 51/5 is entrusted with rapidly aggregating crisis response capabilities and positioning Navy and Marine Corps forces throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility to ensure command and control of forces at sea, from the sea and ashore. (January 12, 2020) Marines with Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team Central Command (FASTCENT) conduct marksmanship proficiency training. Throughout the afternoon the Marines had their combat marksmanship skills put to the test by executing numerous rifle drills. FASTCENT provides expeditionary anti-terrorism and security forces to reinforce embassies, consulates, and other vital national assets throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
