Springfield, an explosive ordnance disposal technician with Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, while trying to find the best place to detonate an IED cache found in an abandoned compound by Humerick and his squad during a patrol to the east of their newly established observation post during Operation New Dawn, June 20, 2010.
