PREREQUISITES

►Must be a volunteer Corporal, Sergeant, or Staff Sergeant in any MOS.

►Must possess a GT score of 105 OR CL score of 105, OR a 55 ASVAB or higher. Contact your education center to start the ASVAB retesting process if needed.

►SCI security clearance eligibility. Eligibility letter from HQMC SSO must determine Marine is suitable for Enlisted 02XX. Application for the SCI security clearance eligibility must be submitted prior to attending the MAGTF Counterintelligence/HUMINT Basic Course.

► FTAP Marines can only conduct a lateral move in conjunction with a re-enlistment and should contact us within a year of their EAS. STAP Marines can contact us at any time.

►Must be 21 years of age or older prior to lateral move into the CI/HUMINT MOS.

►Must re-enlist for a total period of 60 months prior to entry into the MAGTF CI/HUMINT Course.

►Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license (may not be waived).

►Must be fully medically ready and worldwide deployable for lateral move into the 0211 MOS.

►Must conduct a Suitability Assessment and Recommendation Pannel (SARP) with CI/HUMINT personnel. This assessment is a high attrition evaluation of a Marine's aptitude to successfully graduate from the MAGTF CI/HUMINT Basic Course. Marines who are nearing the end of reenlistment window should seek multiple retention options in the event they are not favorably recommended. Marines should be proactive about beginning the lateral-move process in order to attain a recommendation determination with time to execute secondary retention options.

►The application process takes on average two months from initial briefing to completion of a SARP. All SARPs are conducted at Camp Pendleton CA. Marines from remote stations will need to coordinate with their parent commands for DTS or other forms of orders in order to complete the SARP.

GETTING STARTED

►All information briefing pertaining the current lateral-move process to include paperwork should only come from a Regional 0211 Recruiter. Your Career Counselor should only assist you in processing your Re-enlistment Extension Lateral Move (RELM) request, should you be favorably recommended for lateral move.
