I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Information Group (I MIG) provides administrative, training, and logistical support while in CONUS and forward deployed to the I MEF and I MEB Command Elements. Additionally, function as Higher Headquarters for the four Major Subordinate Elements in order to allow I MEF CE to execute warfighting functions in support of service and COCOM initiatives as required.

Plan and direct, collect process, produce and disseminate intelligence, and provide, counterintelligence support to the MEF Command Element, MEF major subordinate commands, subordinate Marine Air Group Task Force(MAGTF), and other commands as directed

Secretary of the Navy to visit Camp Pendleton

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus will visit Camp Pendleton to address the Marines, sailors and civilians of I Marine Expeditionary Force during an all-hands call at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10.

The all-hands call will be live-streamed via DVIDS at the following link: http://www.dvidshub.net/webcast/3688

Media interested in attending the all-hands call, which will be followed by a media availability, should contact the I MEF Public Affairs Office at (760) 763-7047 or imefpublicaffairs@usmc.mil no later than 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9. Members of the media attending the event should meet at Camp Pendleton's San Luis Rey gate no later than 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10. They will be met by a uniformed public affairs representative and escorted to the site.
