U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Ariel Kirschbaum, a field artillery officer and native of Olney, Maryland, with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, fires the M2A1 .50 caliber machine gun during the ANGLICO Basic Skills Package at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 15, 2023. The goal of the Basic Skills Package is to provide ANGLICO detachments with advanced training on infantry skills, machine gun employment, Helicopter Rope Suspension Technique, digital communication, and fires planning at the battalion operational level.
